Hearing Tests

Hearing tests at Sight & Sound

Having an issue with your hearing can be very isolating. At Sight & Sound our team of audiologists is here to help you with any concerns you may have, with impartial hearing care advice to suit your individual needs.

Find out more about our hearing assessments below. Please note, we can offer hearing tests to anyone aged 16 and over.

What to expect from your hearing test

Your first hearing assessment is important and includes a discussion of your concerns, a full medical history of your symptoms and a visual examination of the internal and external structure of your ears (otoscopy).

We will then perform a hearing test (audiometry), which is recorded on a chart called an audiogram.

All hearing assessments are carried out by a fully qualified, registered audiologist.

After your assessment, the audiologist with discuss your results with you and any further concerns you have. We offer impartial hearing care advice, specific to you.

If necessary, your audiologist will also explain how a hearing device could improve your hearing, which can include a demonstration of the types of devices we offer.
