Eye Examination

NHS & Private eye tests at Sight & Sound

Eye examinations are an important part of your health care.

Regular eye tests are vital to check the health of your eyes and to keep your prescription up to date. Conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and retinal detachments can be picked up during your eye examination.

NHS eye tests

At Sight & Sound we offer both private eye tests and eye tests for anyone who qualifies as an NHS patient – those under 16 years old, over 60 years old or anyone in full time education, with NHS eye care vouchers available for those who are eligible. If you think you qualify, please speak to our team at the time of booking.

What to expect from your eye test

At Sight & Sound every patient is given a full eye examination, which usually takes about 30 minutes. This is the same for private and NHS eye tests.

During your appointment your eye care specialist will discuss any recommendations for your eye care with you, taking the time to find you the right solution.

If necessary, our eye care specialists will liaise with your doctor to pass on any relevant information.
